“Eternal Life—The Party Album” is the follow up to Nick’s smash “A Time To Laugh.” If you remember such pop hits as “Electric Avenue,” “These Dreams,” and “Turning Japanese,” you’ll be smiling as you hear Nick put humor to these songs, yet with an underlying message of evangelization. About this new album Nick says, “Jesus declares that heaven is likened to a wedding banquet, a feast. It is a celebration of heaven, which is another way of celebrating what it means to be a saint and a delicate but urgent call for all Christians (esp. Catholics) to not settle for less, but to live out the fullness of our faith.”

Nick Alexander’s CD Eternal Life--The Party Album is the most anticipated follow up to his debut, A Time To Laugh. Nick is the “Catholic Weird Al” with classic parodies of popular songs, giving them a Catholic twist! (Listen to a past audio profile of him.) Eternal Life--The Party Album is the perfect gift for anyone who likes to laugh. Youth groups, college students, retreat leaders, CCD teachers, prison ministry, the butcher, baker and candlestick maker, all would love this CD! It’s funny, but the Catholic lyrics bring it back home with a message. Who but Nick Alexander can take the 80’s hit by Eddie Grant, “Electric Avenue,” and turn it into a song about a favorite saint, Therese of Lisieux? Who else can make songs about missionaries from “Turning Japanese” ("Teaching Them To Read") or “I Will Survive” ("Evangelize")? Nick also takes the classic Cream song, “White Room,” and makes a song about a vocation retreat ("Monastery Trip"). Just when you think you have Nick pinned down as a comedy artist, he does one better and shows how he got into the Catholic music business, with a fantastic song of praise. “Too Late Have I Loved You” is his song based on the writings of St. Augustine of Hippo. My favorite song on Eternal Life--The Party Album is Nick’s take-off on the Lenny Kravitz song, “Fly Away,” called, “Canonized A Saint”. Nick tells his wish to become a saint: "I want a blurb within Butler’s and on the Calendar...” Hmmmm. St. Nick does have a ring to it!!

Hi just listened to "Evangelise" excerpt. Excellent and very funny. The special effects in the background are great. I'm from England and have done 27 songs like this - people love them. Great to see another Catholic with the same ideas.

My teenage daughters and I loved this CD. It's the only evangelical CD my daughters (being the rebellious teenagers that they are) really enjoy. They have learned so much from the enlightening lyrics that bible study has claimed a brand new perspective in their lives. And for that, I thank God for you.
