It is Alma’s hope that "I Lift My Soul" inspires in those who hear her voice a sense of spiritual peace. In her own words, “I believe that my voice was given to me for a purpose, to provide the light of God through the power of song. As I sing in the last song on my CD, ‘in the light of the Lord we are healed.’ Thus to God I lift both my voice and my soul in the hope that all His children experience the healing light of the Lord.”

Through the assistance of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami, part of the proceeds will go to Caritas Cuba, a social services agency run by the Catholic Church on the island.
