New artist Ike Ndolo's record brings faith to youth in powerful and emotion-filled songs
We Are the Beggars boasts a collection of songs that lend themselves to full-band arrangements as well as the simplicity of a single singer and acoustic guitar. With the piercing honesty of his voice and unique accessibility of his music, Ike Ndolo addresses our human frailty by drawing attention to the joy of how deeply we are loved and accepted by God.
The album's opening title track grabs hold of you with its driving guitars and refuses to let go. Possessing an irresistible hook, "At the Sound" is destined to become a praise and worship mainstay. The emotional "I Am Saved" speaks to the human experience of suffering and coming face-to-face with one's own shortcomings and failures. Listening to "Heaven," one can't help but picture a crowd jumping in unison. And "We Are the Beggars II," a stripped-down, alternate version of the title track, provides an unconventional, inventive close to the album.  Alongside 11 powerful originals, Ike also offers up three refreshing covers: a roots-laden take on "How Can I Keep From Singing;" a booming drum interpretation of "Wade In the Water;" and a recording of "In Christ Alone" that seamlessly transitions into an unforgettable original praise song. :: MORE

New Angrisano release catalogues his own journey of faith
His most collaborative album yet, Inescapable Love features songs Steve Angrisano has co-written with Sarah Hart, Marc Byrd, Audrey Assad and Dwight Liles. Steve delivers a wide array of songs sure to become liturgical and praise and worship classics... as well as a couple of surprises. Elements of bluegrass really come through with fiddle and dobro (yes, dobro) making appearances on an album that pays subtle homage to Steve's Southern roots.
Comprised of 12 diverse originals and a cover fans will instantly recognize from his live shows, Inescapable Love builds upon Steve's ability to capture the profound, common experiences that we all struggle to put into words.
"One Step Away" reminds teens that no matter how far they may feel from God, they truly are just one step away. The down-home country feel of "Plow Your Row" features a beautiful duet with newcomer Audrey Assad. "Living God" -- with its old school 70s rock guitars -- takes you by surprise with a couple of head-banging moments. In his cover of Jared Anderson's "Amazed By You," you can't help but imagine Steve smiling as he sings "Lord, I'm amazed by you. How you love me."
While best known for his contemporary songs of praise, Steve is also committed to providing the Church with inspiring and valuable liturgical pieces. That commitment is wholly evident in "Many and One" and "We Remember, We Believe," two unforgettable Eucharistic songs. “Inescapable Love” typifies the totality of Steve's ministry, preaching hope and the closeness of God in our lives. :: MORE

Annie Karto's moving new CD her best work yet
Annie Karto's new CD Refuge is a unique Christian musical masterpiece, with 34 different instruments used throughout the recording. Annie Karto’s voice is so clear and pure and many have commented, “angelic.” Although many instruments were used, it stands alone in its simplicity, and message.
The title track “Refuge” is a song with several purposes. First, from a Christian standpoint, that we all share in the sorrows and joys of all God’s people. Second, from the tenderness of a mother’s heart, an offering of comfort and love to those closest to her. The oldest Native American flute, an instrument used for healing, was recorded on this song by John Two Hawks from Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
“Song for Immaculee” is a recording that has a unique soundtrack featuring world renowned violinist, Abe Appleman, and other beautiful stringed instruments. It is a powerful song of the true story of Immaculee Illibagiza, the Rwandan refugee. Immaculee’s book, “Left to Tell” was on the New York Times bestseller lists for many weeks. The song recalls her experience of survival through the genocide of the Rwandan war when her country unraveled in the spring of 1994. Immaculee lost all of her family members but one during this horrible killing spree. All Christians should hear this story of forgiveness and this moving song that speaks of God’s mercy as the only way to true freedom and healing.
“Refuge” includes seven original songs, composed by Annie, along with the beloved classic, “Hail Mary: Gentle Woman” and the timeless, “Let It Be”. Let “Refuge” draw you closer to the Heart of Jesus. :: MORE

Excellent new kids CD great gift for First Communion
Christ Music Kids wants the world to jam with Jesus, to uplift his name on high, and to bring the glory of God's Kingdom to the future of God's Church on Earth--kids. Shine Like The Son is a top notch production of today's best worship songs for kids! For families: fun to play in the car or at home! Kids love to dance to these songs! A sure winner to make doing chores more fun! For churches: perfect for children's ministry, kids worship, and vacation bible school. Three bilingual songs are an added bonus! One satisfied parent writes:  Awesome! This adjective has become so trite in the modern era that it has lost its luster. A perfectly-grilled hamburger at a Super Bowl party might bring joy--but awe? Awe is witnessing the wonder and glory of God, and when I see my two and three-year old dancing and clapping to "Shine Like the Son," or when they are driving the race car cart at the grocery store singing "Come Holy Spirit, Let The Fire Fall," my heart is filled with awe because I know the future of the church is strong. When my children sing in their car seats "Santo, Santo, Santo es El Señor," I am confident that the universality of the Christian message rings true because, despite the barriers of language and culture, Christ unites us all. Voices uplifting and spirits soaring, the singers and musicians of Christ Music Kids have imparted a true gift of AWESOME grace and of a burgeoning faith in my children that will only continue to grow as they do. This CD of praise is like a spirit-filled mustard seed to be planted in God's most precious gifts--our children, our hope.  :: MORE

Debut album by Michael James Mette just what youth need
Modern Rock/Worship music minister-Michael James Mette, is pleased to announce the release of ALWAYS WHAT I NEED, fresh new music inspired by the artist's Catholic faith. The songs found on this CD address the prevalent issues and questions that teenagers are faced with today. Through his experiences as a music minister, and working with teens and young adults, Michael James Mette continues to hear a common theme “What is this life for?”
The fundamental choice between doubt and faith is addressed in original songs (penned by Mette) like "Know Love Serve" and "This is Our Lamb", while "Always What I Need" and "Prepare Me" point to a reliance on God's providence. With an energy and style that cuts through the apathy of a "Guitar Hero" generation, Michael's timeless message finds a comfortable niche for the youth of the Church. Other songs covered on the album include new twists on classic praise and worship songs like “Open the Eyes of My Heart”, and “Lord I Lift your Name on High”. There is also a driving, power praise & worship version of “Where the Streets Have No Name” made popular by mainstream artist-U2, and an original sing-a-long sure to be embraced by youth groups everywhere titled “I’ve Got the Joy”.  :: MORE

Matthew Baute releases instrumental album
Thomas Merton (the Trappist monk) is quoted as saying “Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance and order and rhythm and harmony.” No doubt we all seek Harmony and Balance in our life. But, along the way, sometimes our vision is clouded by insecurity, clutter, doubt and a lack of faith. It seems that many of us fall victim to the “noise” that surrounds us. We are distracted by inconvenience, inconsistencies, and interruptions. But, when clarity emerges we are able to visualize a rebirth and renewal that gets us back on track to a life fulfilled.
"This CD is inspired by the notion that life can be so much more rewarding when we don't complicate it," Matthew says. "My hope is that this instrumental album will help you to relax and live in the "now" instead of worrying about 'tomorrow'. Whether you are listening to this project in your office, on the train, in an airport, in a park, on the beach, in your home or wherever else you may be... I pray that it helps lead you to a place of utmost joy and peace. May you find yourself refreshed and less stressed. May you experience, through this music and through many other wonderful graces that are waiting for you, an authentic awakening of your mind, your body, and especially your heart." :: MORE
