Catholic Music Network Increases
Selection with
“Prayerful Hearts” by Sharmane Adams
Birmingham, AL, November 8, 2005 - Catholic
Music Network, www.catholicmusicnetwork.com,
is pleased to announce the addition of
Catholic recording artist Sharmane Adams’
debut CD “Prayerful Hearts” to its offering
of premier Catholic music available online.
When asked about the inspiration for the
songs on this CD, Sharmane stated, “I prayed
to God to give me the melody! One night,
with the help of St. Michael, I completed
the St. Michael Song,” she explained.
“Throughout the course of the project, I
said many Novenas. I truly wanted this to be
from God. I was solely depending on His
wisdom to show me the way.”
Sharmane also composed several other songs
on the “Prayerful Hearts” CD. Her central
vision for doing this project was her desire
to help the monks at Clear Creek Monastery
in Hulbert, Oklahoma. “I prayed to God for
over a year for Him to lead me and give me
the grace to raise funds for Clear Creek
Monastery. In August I was led in pursuing
the CD idea. It is miraculous how
beautifully God
orchestrated this entire project. He gave
me the vision and I kept running with it
until it was complete.”
Sharmane has been singing all her life. Her
focus is to sing wherever she is called.
"The gift that God has given me is something
I love sharing with all age groups." She is
originally from Oklahoma but currently
resides in Pensacola and is the lead singer
in a contemporary Christian band called
John 6.
In addition to Sharmane’s angelic voice,
there are several children and young adults
contributing to the CD. Sarah Smith sings
lead vocal for "The Angelus,"
background vocals, and recites the
Apostles Creed for the "A Decade of the
Rosary." Janine Hogan sings background
vocals, and recites the "Glory Be." Taylor
St. Clair is another background vocalist,
and recites Scripture for the "Act of
Contrition." Jarrett and Ashlyn Adams
recite Scripture readings for "Angels
Watching Over You" and
"The
Angelus." Alex and Avery Phibbs recite
Scripture readings for "Close Your Eyes" and
the "Prayer to St. Michael."
