|
As a founding
member and lead singer of the Christian band Scarecrow and Tinmen
(S&T), Chris Padgett has been with this band for seven years -
since its beginnings. God has used S&T in awesome ways as they
have toured around the country playing for the Lord.
At each of these concerts,
Chris and the rest of the band had an incredible opportunity to reach out to the
crowd who came to their concerts. Seeing lives changed because of how God used
their music was exciting for the band. This is something that Chris had always
dreamed of, being able to reach out to the crowd with the Good News of Jesus
Christ.
Everyday, Chris says that he is reminded over and over again of how the
Christian life is about continual surrender to what God wants of him. It has
become clear to Chris that God has called him to not only musical ministry, but
also a ministry of speaking where Chris can freely share his heart on issues
that people young and old are dying to hear about.
Without being in the confines of a "concert," Chris has the freedom to go beyond
music and reach out to the audience by just being open and vulnerable about his
life, struggles, and the growth he continues to experience as a Believer and
hopes that everyone present will experience just as he has.
Combine Chris Padgett's experience in the Christian music industry with an often
unparralled, deep passion for Christ and the outcome is a very dynamic ministry
in which God changes many lives.
It is Chris' desire to let God use him in whatever way He sees fit, no matter
the cost. With this in mind, it is obvious that God will take and use every part
of Chris' life and use it for His glory. And that is one incredible experience,
to be used by God.
Chris currently resides in Steubenville, Ohio with his wife Linda and his six
children where he is working towards earning his M.A. in Theology and Christian
Ministry from Franciscan University of Steubenville. From his home base in
Steubenville, Chris is available to fly anywhere to engage in his
speaking/concert apostolate.
