With her vivacious personality, infectious optimism, and her embracing love for the Lord, Dawn can’t help but make an impression on everyone she meets. Her passion for music and her faith is what fuels her boundless energy and keeps Dawn inspired as she follows the path that has led her from Pierre, South Dakota to performing at World Youth Day 2000 in Rome, Italy!

Dawn is excited about the opportunity to minister through the music of her newly released EP, “True Presence.”  Numerous people from around the U.S. have phoned to share with Dawn that they have come back to the Church because of the song “True Presence.”  The Lord has asked her to follow Him to the ends of the earth to proclaim that He is present in the Eucharist.  It is His driving force and reports of changed lives that confirm her call to defend the Catholic faith and bring people, both young and old, from all over the world, to a deeper appreciation of the Holy Eucharist.

Her musical journey began at an early age through piano lessons, then later at the age of 13 by playing and singing at her home parish in Watertown, SD.  Throughout her high school years, she had an intense passion for music. It was during a hospitalization for clinical depression in her senior year that she came to realize that Our Sovereign God has a plan and a purpose for each of His children.  Dawn truly surrendered control of her life and asked to serve Him in whatever way He desired. 

A myriad of challenges in life have brought Dawn to a greater understanding that “all things work together for good for those who love God.”  Dawn can identify with so many young people who are suffering from perfectionism, eating disorders, those who simply wonder where they “fit in,” and those who are searching, because of what the Lord has allowed her to experience.  She would never wish to have avoided those challenges because they are what have polished her into the woman of God she is today…they are what have given her such great compassion and understanding.  Dawn sees so many others running like she did, trying to fill voids in their lives. Her answer is the Eucharist! What can heal our human bodies more than Gods Own Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity?  For Dawn, every Mass is miraculous and healing!

In this world of fast food and ‘I want it now!’ attitudes, God has come to Dawn with a different message: “Trust and wait!”  After many years of asking her to be patient and selflessly obedient, the Lord now has given Dawn the commission to go to the ends of the earth to be unashamedly Catholic and to proclaim without compromise to the world, that Jesus is truly present in the Holy Eucharist! 

So many people are hungry for truth. Dawn feels very humbled and privileged to have been given this apostolate during this year of the Eucharist and Jubilee. Her prayer and mission is that all would come to know His love for each and every one of us through His True Presence!
