Last Day |
|
Last Day’s challenge and their
goal is to get everyone, but especially young people involved in
worshiping and praising God through music and thereby
experiencing God in a whole new way. Another hope of Last Day
would be to influence other young musicians to consider sharing
their musical talents for the glorification of God instead of
turning to secular music.
From their roots as leaders of their parish’s youth group band,
the members of Last Day, which formed in 2001, have progressed
to exciting crowds throughout the US. In 2005, they
self-released a full length CD entitled ‘Astray’ with such crowd
pleasers as “Eternity” and “Circles”. In March 2006, they
released what promises to be their most successful project to
date, another full length CD entitled “Happy Medium” produced by
Rick Andress of Fox Studios, Cincinnati.
Last Day is not about putting on a concert or show, their
mission is to write and perform music that helps lift your
heart, mind and soul to God. Where ever possible they display
their lyrics so people can worship right along with them. Their
sets consist of their own original songs with thoughtful and
meaningful lyrics along with powerful rock music and some
favorite cover songs because they truly want everyone involved
in their shows. So, where there is apparently a place for
screamo and metal bands in Christian rock, Last Day is neither.
Nor do they sit around the campfire singing "Kumbaya" - well,
hardly ever. Seems like Last Day is a "happy medium" with their
own unique sound and that is basically, solid rock. So crank up
your CD player, plop in Happy Medium and start rocking along
because Last Day is coming… Are you ready?
This debut album from the Catholic rock band, Last Day, is for
the young and young at heart and contains 2 soulful ballads and
10 original songs that rock out for the Lord.
