Gromko

As a kid, Sarah learned that the only common thread between her many homes was music. She began singing professionally at age thirteen. Her early voice was honed under the instruction of opera stars Carol Wilcox-Jones, Judith Gray, and Mary Burgess, but she eventually dropped that scene and ran away to study film scoring and jazz at Berklee College of Music.

Her early post-graduate professional credits were mostly behind the scenes as a music editor and sound designer. She was able to hone her musical ideas with her commissioned arrangements and orchestrations, working and playing with such names as Wycliff Gordon, Marcus Prinup, Eric Reed, Bob Stoloff, James Oliverio, and Wynton Marsalis, but singing ever again was the farthest from her mind.

Then she discovered the riches of the Catholic Church, and she couldn't keep from singing. She formed GromKo. and began performing original, heartfelt tunes that examine the conflict of being Catholic in a secular world. This newfound courage, combined with her conversion to Catholicism, spawned "Convert Augustine."
