Growing up in a faith-filled,
artistic home Peter Bierer began using music as an expression of
faith from a young age. Writing, performing and worshiping were a
way of life. At the age of 13 Peter first led music at a school
liturgy. His passion for music ministry continued through high
school and college. In that time Peter also led
interdenominational worship groups, blues and rock bands and
performed as a solo artist.
Since then, Peter has performed on local, regional, national and
international platforms. He has performed at retreats, workshops,
concerts and youth rallies, such as the National Conference for
Catholic Youth Ministry and World Youth Day 2008 in Sydney,
Australia.
Peter currently works full time as the Coordinator of Youth
Ministry at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato, MN
where he lives with his wife and two daughters. He is also an
adjunct staff member for the Center for Ministry Development as a
Prayer and Music Coordinator for Young Neighbors in Action, a
summer service-learning experience. Peter also leads a liturgical
choir for the Minnesota State University, Mankato Newman Center.
Peter attended the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities School of
Music (2000-2005) and received his B.A. in Music from Minnesota
State University, Mankato.
In 2003 he served on the National Evangelization Team (NET) in
Australia as a parish team leader and team music leader at Holy
Spirit Catholic Church in Adelaide, South Australia.
Peter’s debut album, All Creation Groans, was released on November
1, 2008.
