Fr. Edward Richard

Fr. Edward James Richard is a Catholic priest and a member of the Missionaries of Our Lady of LaSalette.  He is the Director of the Paul VI Institute of Catechetical and Pastoral Studies in St. Louis, Missouri, and is a professor of Moral Theology at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary.  He began playing music as a child, growing up in Southwest Louisiana, and was exposed not only to Cajun music but to the sounds of Bluegrass as well.  He attributes the major influences in his music to the old-time mountain sounds of Ralph and Carter Stanley.  The gospel music of Ralph Stanley has had a formative impact on his life and ministry.
